Almost two years ago, I was one movie away from watching every movie on the IMDB Top 250 list. It was a goal I set over a decade ago. My sole focus wasn't completing the list, and the road to almost completion happened gradually. I never met that goal.

One Day I'll Make a Movie
One of my dreams is to create a feature length film. The first step for a film is a script, and at least I have that.

Film Review: Valhalla Rising
Valhalla Rising is different. The first time I watched it, I wasn't sure what I had seen, but I wanted to watch it again. The dialog is sparse to non-existent, and the plot has a surreal quality to it.This is not a typical movie. This is a movie that is more artistic that most, and more artistic that most can stand. It is the very definition of an independent film. If that's what you like, then you need to see this film.

Under-rated Television Shows
As I'm busy writing a novel, I haven't worked on many projects this month. So today, we are going to look at a few under-rated television shows. Let me know your thoughts on the list, if you've seen them, and share any televisions shows you think deserved to make the list.
Carnivale:
This was an HBO show set during the depression following a traveling carnival and it had a fair bit of fantasy and magic thrown in. It was canceled too soon, and it's at the top of my list overall for television shows. The characters are engaging and the production values are amazing.

Design Contests
A few years ago, I entered a local design contest and won.
That propelled me to enter additional design contests and even a few video contests.
Unfortunately, I didn't win additional contests, and my interests have since shifted.
Design contests are a great way to push your creative side, learn, and develop your skills. The fact that all contests have a deadline, means you can't put them off.
I have submitted a video for a Super Bowl commercial, a Lego animation, and designed a restaurant, an office building, a kitchen, and furniture.
I've also entered and even won a various 'photoshop' contests.
If you need something to do or you're stuck in a rut, try a contest. You may even win a prize.
