[1] EXT. NIGHT. SIDEWALK. MARKET- FRINGE.
Start with a Jethro exiting a building. A side shot as the door opens and he walks out. Front shot, see him look both ways and walk South. Walking down the sidewalk West side of road going South. ¾ front shot. See him pass by a few people, then the sidewalk becomes barren.
[2] EXT. NIGHT. MARKET
Camera behind Jethro looking forward. Camera head on shot bobbing as Jethro walks.
[3] EXT. NIGHT. MARKET
Side 3/4 shot. Out of the shadows in front of him, Jethro sees a man walking ahead, entering from a side street. It’s almost a dance or a man attached to a music box. Bobbing up and down, swaying, turning. Jethro is just off frame.
The dancing man's head faces the sky, eyes wide, and a big cartoon smile plastered on his face. Camera slowly dollies in to Smiling Jack.
[4] EXT. NIGHT. MARKET
Jethro crosses the street to East side of Market (camera behind him and follows) but eyes Smiling Jack. Camera on Jethro’s back, pans as Jethro looks to focus on Jack. Camera on Jack, see him peer over and cut to Smiling Jack focus shot. Jethro looks straight, hesitates, then looks back. Smiling Jack is walking down the sidewalk, almost past him. Get a shot of both of them from Jethro's pov. Jethro keeps moving, looks back to see how far behind Smiling Jack is, but Smiling Jack is gone. Jethro speeds up. He hears something, he looks over his shoulder and it’s Smiling Jack behind him just 100 feet away. Crouched, in a frozen pose. one foot on the sidewalk, one on the street.
Camera zooms in on jack. Over Jethro's shoulder, camera zooms out, catch Jethro in frame, right as he wheels around camera wheels with him.
Jethro: What do you want?
Smiling Jack is still frozen. half crouched.
Jethro: I'm talking to you. What do you want?
Smiling Jack’s head swivels slowly and precisely. Laughter begins to emanate.
Jethro starts to run. He looks back again as Smiling Jack gets smaller, smaller, smaller.
Camera facing Jethro ¾ shot. Jethro ducks into an alley, and peeps watching. Jethro is puzzled. Smiling Jack is getting bigger, head upturned, smile on his face, limbs pumping wildly.
Slowly see Jack getting closer.
[5] EXT. MARKET TOWARDS SCALES
Jethro bolts. Camera getsJjack coming towards and Jethro running towards Scales. Jethro runs by as camera turns, Jethro fades into distance, then Smiling Jack appears running wildly. See them both running down street. At Main/Settles towards the gas station. On LEFT side of street and cross over to gas station.

[6] EXT. GAS STATION ON SETTLE
Behind shot of Jethro. We see a gas station and lights up ahead. Jethro gets to the gas station and freezes in the light. Camera pans around looking for Smiling Jack. Jethro is searching, looks both sides.
Jethro is at corner. Long shot. See smiling Jack walk out from behind the gas station on left side. See Smiling Jack come from where Jethro came. As Smiling Jack crosses towards Jethro, we do a split screen. Everyone we used on the left side, pours out from right side to create a nice crowd. Make sure they don’t cross ‘the line’
Jacks walk from right and left side. Jethro stutter stepping away, backwards. Before he turns and crosses the street. Camera backing up.
[7] EXT. SIDEWALK. SETTLES TOWARDS MARKET
From inside the crowd shot. See Jethro up ahead between pumping limbs.
Jethro is really breathing hard now. He looks back and sees Smiling Jack at the head of the crowd. See close front shot of Jethro, camera shifts to reveal Jack appear from behind Jethro's head.
Jethro from behind see him running, camera zooms in on a car. Jethro skids to a stop at the door,
[8] EXT. JETHRO’S CAR. SETTLES UNDER A STREETLIGHT

Fumbling for keys, gets in the car after hitting the fob, looks towards the crow,. and locks the door inside, breathing hard.
Windshield shot. We see him crane to see through back glass. Close on Jethro. Don’t see crowd. Camera in the car, passenger seat. Jethro is trying to see what happened to the crowd. Looks out driver window, to out passenger window, and back to driver window. Smiling Jack is at Jethro's window. Jethro looks around as the other smileys are frozen around the car in different poses. Driver fender shot. See Jack at window others around car all still not moving. Laughing begins as their heads rotate towards Jethro. We see two upturned heads rise from the darkness in the car and then they grab Jethro’s shoulders as he struggles. He sinks/slides down the seat. Car is under a nice streetlight for great lighting. Then each head swivels from Jethro towards the camera. Camera is sinking slowly, Jacks struggle towards camera, close in on camera, very tight, and fade to black.
